Na lichtroze en mintgroen lijkt ´faded apricot´ dit jaar dé trend op haarkleurgebied. Bij Aveda weten ze het zeker: het abrikoos/perziktintje wordt de najaarshit van 2013. Hoewel ik na mijn roze haar eigenlijk wel klaar was met de colorbug begint het bij het zien van deze foto´s toch wel weer een béétje te kriebelen. Wie weet probeer ik de kleur nog wel voor een dagje. Niet te netjes, niet te fel, meer ombre (ja ook nog steeds een trend!). Hello apricot!

De kleur van dit najaar? Bordeauxrood, zonder twijfel. Meer nog op straat dan op de catwalk duikt de dieprode kleur overal op. Tijdens de internationale modeweken was het een ware streetstyle trend. In het oog springende tassen, verleidelijke kokerrokken, dramatische avondjurken, oversized truien en skinny jeans; elk item in nét even een andere bordeauxtint. 50 shades of Burgundy, ik ben fan.

Day 3 of Amsterdam Fashion Week was filled with highlights. Designer Bas Kosters put on a spectacular show and I enjoyed watching the SIS by Spijkers en Spijkers collection on the runway. And lucky for us the sun came out in the afternoon. So I was able to take some sunny pictures at the end of the day. Here are some images of my look and my hairstyle. I got lots of compliments on the statement necklace. And as you can see I decided to go for braids and color in my hair one last time.

As you must have noticed I have been experimenting with a couple of hairstyles this week. On the third day I chose for a braided and colored updo. I received a lot of positive comments on it and now I’ve even spotted my hairdo on ELLE.be. The website made a trend report on colored hair and spotted several girls (and Bas Kosters) with colored locks. See the hair trend item here.

About a month ago my hairdresser told me I should try this new product to dye your hair with for just one or two days. Right then I wasn’t sure if it would be something for me, but after having thought about it (and after having seen this hair style on Abbey Lee Kershaw, Kate Bosworth and Elle Macpherson) I decided to try it out. I bought the pink color bug and started coloring the lower part of my hair. It was actually intended as a subtle dip dye effect, but since I accidentally colored all of my locks for about fifty percent I decided it was more of a royal dip dye. I think it’s a fun look for a special occasion, but thank god it’s washable. I will only have my hair like this for today, since I’ll be washing it tonight, but there’s more than enough left for many DIY dip dye projects to follow.
